But Estepona is a healthy and sporty city in general already. They have eight magnificent golf courses such as Atalaya Golf and El Paraiso, riding schools, and flamenco clubs. Nevertheless, you can also be entertained otherwise. You can visit several parks, the Centro Histórico, the promenade... there is enough to choose from! And with over 10km of coastline (and many having a blue flag status), you will definitely find your perfect swimming spot. 

Even though there are lots of tourist and leisure activities, Estepona also offers a wonderful environment for daily living. Firstly, transportation is great. The city has many different transportation options and can be easily reached via highway or the coast road. It is close to Marbella and located conveniently for international travel as the Málaga and Gibraltar airports are closeby. Regarding safety, Estepona is an ideal place to stay. The Costa del Sol in general is one of the safest regions in Europe and Estepona is one of the safest large cities here. In addition, many cobblestoned streets are traffic free. That is a reason why Estepona is one of the most family-friendly destinations in Spain. It also has several international and national schools in and around the city. Moreover, there are excellent dental and hospital facilities, both private and public. Finally, there is a large commercial centre in the old town, with shops and supermarkets, ensuring you can get whatever you need at all times. 

Because of its beautiful location in the Sierra Bermeja mountain range and the coastline, Estepona offers an amazing combination of activities and tranquility.
